What is a Glambot and Why it instantly elevates any event

Our VogueBot made its much-anticipated debut this past March, and what a debut it was!

I had the opportunity to offer it to an association client hosting their annual event at The Broadmoor - completely free of charge - so our team could test it out in a live environment. Our goal was to see what worked, what needed improvement, and what creative touches we could add to elevate the experience even more. And let me tell you, we learned a TON.

Our VogueBot was in full effect at this '90s-themed ISPA event this March. We synced custom effects with the perfect throwback track, creating one of our favorite Glambot moments yet!

What I didn’t know at the time was that the client had already booked a VW Photo Booth Bus, which was stationed just outside the main entrance - meaning every guest would pass through that experience before encountering our VogueBot setup inside. Naturally, I was a little nervous. I worried about photo fatigue - would guests be too “photo-ed out” to try something new, especially something as unfamiliar as a robotic video booth?

Turns out, I had nothing to worry about.

From the moment we powered it on, we were absolutely slammed. We had one of the longest, most consistent lines we’ve ever seen. Guests were intrigued, excited, and completely immersed. Their reactions to the short, slow-motion video clips they received were nothing short of amazing - laughing and huddling around the sharing station to watch them on repeat. I couldn’t stop smiling. Watching their faces light up validated everything we’d hoped this activation could be.

Here are just a few of the iconic moments our VogueBot captured recently.

So… What Is a Glambot (or VogueBot, in our case)?

I asked the same question back in 2023, when I first encountered the technology at the Photo Booth Expo in Las Vegas (yes - that’s a thing). The Glambot concept was popularized by director Cole Walliser, who used it on celebrity red carpets at the Grammys and Met Gala, creating ultra-glamorous, super slow-motion clips of stars striking fierce poses and flipping their hair - and racking up millions of views in the process.

I was instantly hooked. I knew I needed one.

But the original version I saw at the expo was huge and I thought to myself - how would I transport this?  I will have to buy or rent a large van to get this from place to place.  How many people would it take to set it up and operate it? It just wasn’t realistic for our needs. So, I held off… impatiently.

Then in 2024, I returned to the expo and finally found the perfect solution: a sleeker, more transportable version that didn’t sacrifice quality or wow factor. After a long wait for manufacturing and shipping, the VogueBot finally arrived - and it was absolutely worth the wait.

How It Works (And Why It’s So Different)

The VogueBot is a high-speed robotic camera system that captures cinematic, slow-motion video clips of guests striking dramatic poses, twirling, flipping their hair -whatever their moment demands. Unlike a traditional photo booth that captures stills, this is a fully stylized video experience that makes everyone feel like a red-carpet celebrity.

Here’s what’s happening behind the scenes:

  • A high-resolution, high-speed camera is mounted on a robotic arm.

  • A director (yep, that’s us!) coaches guests through dynamic, confident movements.

  • The robot performs pre-programmed, swooping motions - zooming in, circling, pulling back.

  • The footage is rendered and enhanced with stylish effects, overlays, and branding options.

  • Guests receive their short, shareable clips via text or email within moments.

You can add branded overlays, custom intros/outros, and even personalized music to match your event’s vibe.

Why It’s a Showstopper

The VogueBot is more than just a photo booth - it’s a performance, an experience, and a memory-maker all in one. Whether it’s a corporate gala, luxury wedding, or brand activation, it creates buzz, builds lines, and delivers moments guests won’t forget.

We’re just getting started - and based on the crowd reactions so far, the future of event entertainment looks incredibly glamorous.

Would YOU step in front of the VogueBot?

  • Absolutely, I was born for this

  • Only if my friends hype me up

  • I need a practice round first

  • Watching from the sidelines
